So I ended up seeing The Dark Knight tonight on the imax screen (which was fucking awesome, btw). I thought it was really cool that the Watchman was the only trailer before the feature. I got goosebumps a little hearing the Pumpkins in that environment. Thumbs up all around.

It appears that Friday's announcement of The Beginning is the End is the Beginning being featured in the Watchmen trailer has rekindled interest in the song.

The Beginning is the End is the Beginning is now the #1 most popular Smashing Pumpkins song on iTunes, with its sister song, The End is the Beginning is the End, ranked at #16.

Even more impressive is that the song is currently the #37 most downloaded song in any category!

Both of these songs were featured on the soundtrack to 1997's Batman and Robin. It is interesting to see this kind of response to The Beginning is the End is the Beginning, as it was the last song on the soundtrack, thus placing it in relative obscurity.

I saw TDK on opening night but there was no Watchmen trailer, though I have watched it on the net. I'm going to see TDK with my sis at the IMAX cinema, hopefully this w/e, where *fingers crossed* I'll get to see the watchmen trailer with surround sound. I bought the Watchmen graphic novel a couple of months ago, but haven't got around to reading it yet. I'm reading The Silmarillion, to be followed by Unfinished tales, in preperation for The Hobbit part 2.

It's too bad Billy allowed this song to be associated with the movie Batman & Robin. That was a terrible, terrible movie.

Even Joel Schumacher apologized for it. A Director apologizing for his own movie...wow.

For those who haven't read the Watchman, iTunes has a free video podcast you can download. It tells the story in a comic book style, no live action. I feels like you're actually reading the comic. Check it out.

i know i can't wait either. those are my fav books, of all time.

i saw a trailer for it back in like 2004 and was so excited and then i heard nothing for a long time. (it was probably a fake trailer) Just looked on imdb recently and saw it was 2010. (what a great website)

watching that vid he didn't necessarily apologize. he just apologized in case fans were disappointed from seeing batman forever and then going to see batman and robin.

hmmmmm seems like this is gonna be a good movie

the watchmen looks like a super sweet ass movie. never heard of the comic but 300 was awesome. i hope they have more cool songs to go along with it.
