What kind of virus? My anti-virus doo-dad alerted me that it found a virus/Trojan called "joke blue screen" or something (I was thinking "blue screen of death" and asked me waht to do with it, I said DELETE.

Some other AntiVirus XP program was wizzing away and said it found about 2000 viruses in about 10 seconds. Which I thought was bullshit because I certainly don't remember anyone installing that on the computer, and McAfee (which is currently running) has been going for a half an hour and hasn't picked up anything (yet)

So I tried uninstalling this shit, it said it was uninstalled when it clearly wasn't.. it didn't do ANYTHING. I tried straight deleting the files... nope...

by this time, the blue screen kicked into gear, and changed my background to a blue screen that said something along the lines of "you have a virus, you should update your anti-spyware..." blah blah blah...

I tried changing it but the tabs for screensaver and background are missing from the desktop properties

i don't remember what trend micro virus called the virus when i visited Netphoria. i'm currently running trend micro virus and webroot spy sweeper. so far i just have 3 spy cookies.

i don't think it was that though. i left Netphoria fast. i just went there long enough to past the interview in a thread on spfreaks.

Hehe, well FireFox has an add on that let's you right click and "vaporize" whatever you want. As soon as I get to the site, I just delete what I don't want to see, and I never get any popups if I do it quick enough!
