I always have known "Landslide" was by Fleetwood Mac but did not hear the original into a couple of years after I heard the Pumpkins version. But my brother Steven wanted to name our SP website, Landslide because that was his favorite cover that SP had done at the time (1997). But we were bugged by people saying stuff like 'It's not an SP song, you know. Why did your name your website after a cover song?'.

The Fleetwood Mac version is quite nice, in my opinion. But I think I heard SP's version first, so I enjoy it more.

the fleetwood mac original is really outstanding. i saw them perform it live on VH1 for some show one time. although i will admit that i still like the pumpkins version better for 2 reasons: in that song stevie nicks' voice just annoys me and i LOVE the solo that billy added into the song. it fits really well.

The show was probably "VH1 Storytellers" (if you were wondering).

yea, the solo almost makes it not a cover. it sets the whole song into extraordinary.

Yep, I too am I fan of that addition.

Um weren't we talking about SP's electronica realm?

Well 'Appels and Oranjes' and 'Behold the Nightmare' always hit the spot for me and I'm particularly fond of TEITBITE too, it has a good push to it. 'Waiting' grabs me too. Would 'Raindrops + Sunshowers' and 'Speed Kills' validate? I know they're purely created from actual instruments [albeit effect pedals] but they have that electronic-ish sound to them.

I think that "Speed Kills" and "Raindrops + Sunshowers" would qualify because they have that sort of atmosphere to them.
