Short review:
I got to the Adler around 11:00am, grabbed some lunch and met up with Monte who had my ticket. There was about 7-8 of us outside to greet the band as they arrived. Security was very nice and let us hang around and listen to soundcheck, which lasted for a few hours. I decided I was going to try and record a little (see videos below); and I think the sound came out surprisingly well. After this I met up with Pumpkins.net members Rivers Cuomo (I know he's got some video too, hopefully he will upload it), Alien Bob and their friends. Nice guys. Doors opened at 7:00 and everyone flooded into the Adler; which was very unique, in a good way. The available merchandise was the same as the Zeitgeist tour. They at least put the current tour dates on the backs of the shirts though. Also there was a white shirt that had the artwork Linda Strawberry did for the tour. And of course the posters were available as well.
As for the show:
Like they said, it was a complete rock show. Very "hardcore" fan oriented, as hardly any singles were played. I had a slight disadvantage during the show because I had heard the soundcheck and knew what songs they were going to play ahead of time. Still completely amazing! G.L.O.W. was better than I expected and rocks hard. I think most fans will be pleasantly surprised. The show tended to get a little strange toward the end. I think TBITEITB may have brought the crowd down and it never really recovered. Set the Controls drags on a little long; with 10 minutes of feedback and effects at the end. Kind of ended the show on a lull. I was disappointed in the (single) encore. We Only Come Out at Night (I called that one!) was played with just Lisa on the piano and all other band members singing, plus Ginger's husband (I think) with an accordion. For the second verse they all busted out kazoos...WTF? The second song, In the Summertime, just did not fit the show; and I really wanted them to go out on a high note.
A few highlights for me:
Siva - Words cannot describe this song. I had the biggest smile on my face the entire time.
Mayonaise - I have to admit, I got a little choked up during Mayonaise, just amazing.
Transformer - Very cool song. Jeff had an awesome solo towards the end.
Superchrist - I was not looking forward to this song, but I was absolutely wrong. They even had the violin breakdown in there. They took it directly into United States without missing a beat...that was really cool.
Glass' Theme - Oh man, the lights were going crazy!

Thank.
You.
And all you liars who said you'd wait until the studio release (which is seriously a month from now), you know you're just itching to click that play button. So you might as well just do it.
I know after the Grand Rex everyone had high hopes and then about 85% of those people's dreams were shattered when Zeitgeist came out. But I've got high hopes again for this one, and I was NOT part of that 85%. This song has the potential to sound really fucking cool in the studio. And I can't wait to hear it live on the 15th.

What was the immediate reaction when TBITEITB started?
I knew it was coming because I heard it at the soundcheck. I don't think a lot of the people in the crowd knew it but it was pretty awesome to hear. It sounds different with a full band arrangement. Billy singing and the rest of the band playing. Definitely an obscure song to play.

@PistolPete - THANK YOU!
So excited after hearing G.L.O.W now, even if its just a part of the song its kind of better. Its the little tease we all wanted without spoiling the whole thing. ... here is hoping the studio version is just as "growly".
