I think James and D'arcy's beef is not so much 'Billy's not letting us record our own songs' but that Billy or the Pumpkin's public relations staff (who ultimately report to Billy) let the rumors spiral so out of control that everyone thinks that they didn't play anything on the records, which I think has been exaggerated.
In interviews, Billy always seems to want to be diplomatic about J and D, but his resentment always bubbles up to the surface and he lets some comment slip. After all the things he's said since the blog postings, I don't expect the original band to get together again.

did JC say he had been sober for four years? i'm sorta confused by that, i would've thought he was going on ten. was there a relapse after the zwan debacle?

The general consensus on Netphoria concerning that statement was that he has been completely clean, no drugs or alcohol OR tobacco. He's high on life, now.

I just said, he's probably been clean of EVERYTHING for over four years now. After the John incident, that would of just been the drugs.
