You know, I might have to agree with Superchrist!
Maybe it's just that it's still something fresh and new? Who knows? I have very strong feelings associated with past Pumpkin albums, but those feelings are now a bit outdated for me, since I've changed so drastically as a person. Zeitgeist still fits the current stage of my life.

Perhaps if I had liked SP for a long time, I might of said the same, but I can see what you mean about feelings being outdated.
SD is by far my favourite album by any band.

Seeming that Billy is already claiming that Zeitgeist was purposely a "Rock 101" record, I really don't think there's going to be a paradigm shift in how fans perceive the album. It just isn't as classic or memorable as Adore.
I couldn't agree more. It seems many times we are on the same page about these things, although not always.

Wow that is surprising. I prefer them to it, but that's just me. There are plenty of good songs on Zeitgeist, but I just don't like it as much as the others. That being said, Gish is my least favorite out of the regular studio albums by the Pumpkins. I tended to like each studio album but than the previous one. But I got into the Pumpkins in very early 1996, so maybe it's different for others.
Zeitgeist is good, but it didn't follow that same pattern. And perhaps that was disappointing to me, that the album didn't grab me as much as Machina had before it, and Adore before that, and so forth.

Sorry Don,

No reason to blow your top.
It's all just kicks and giggles.
Side note...I'm guessing I should have gone with the tounge in cheek then ;P
I was just kidding (and a bit overreacting), sorry!!!
It's not worth to argue about someone's taste in music...
let's still be friends, OK?!

No worries, of course we are still friends.
Hey, it's easy to react with emotion to something we are passionate about, so I completely understand what happened.
I think though that we have similar musical interests as well as differning.
One of the things I've enjoyed in life is being taught new things by friends so differences are good. *smile*
