Cool...I think.

I'm not entirely sold on the virtures of guitar hero or its connection to the grand scheme of things in the music business....but the guitar smash was cool.

every time I see a person in a video game I think of that SNL skit that horatio sanz and fred armisen did on weekend update where they were supposed to be citizens of the town in grand theft auto and they were talking about how mis-represented they were but were moving around all awkward and stuff.

That was pretty awesome. I keep thinking about what Billy said in that interview about the success of "The Beginning is the End is the Beginning" lately. We as fans arn't used to our favorite band getting attention because the Pumpkins are never given the credit they deserve. I'm glad this game will give the band some attention, they deserve it.

I like it, but he looks weird..it is a video game, I can't expect perfection

they do deserve it, and overtime i'm guessing they'll be consider one of the greatest bands of all time, sort of like the ramones, but it does look way cool.

Awkward guitar hero movements + Billy's tallness and lanky-ness = perfect guitar hero character.

Although the choice of the Machina style silver dress is a bit awkward, haha. I liked his black dresses better.

Yeah, that's a good point. Initially I was thinking, "Ah, that game is so lame, why not just play an actual guitar?" But then I came to realize that the game is about having fun, coming together, and not necessarily about being a "real musician." It's very similar to Karaoke, and I think it's cool that the Pumpkins are being recognized by a "new" generation, in a sense. I mean hell, most of us are "youngins", and perhaps a lot of us even play Guitar Hero! I don't, but I can see the appeal in it.

Yes that was fricken awesome!!! Did you here the sound when it hits the floor...I had to replay that part to hear it again-he's so tough..lol

That's the first time in a long time I've actually seen him smash a guitar.

This will be freakin' sweet..

Totally agree with what Billy said about "what will the fans think". Although this is kind of different, because it will most likely be that there will only be SP hits on this game, not rarities like TBITEITB.

Why does it mainly show him singing, without a guitar?

Also, I've never played this game because, well, guitars generally bore me. But is there a bass version? Or can you make your character play bass instead?

If I recall correctly, there's a mode where you can play bass instead. And if you activate multiplayer mode, one player is capable of playing bass while the other plays guitar.

I've always been a tad contemptuous of Guitar Hero. Nothing too strong, it's just a nuisance when all your friends engross themselves with it without regards to anything else. My opinion is pretty independent among my friends because of that.

Call me fastidious but I think Billy's character appears and moves awkwardly, lol. It's also awkward to view him performing without a guitar, as aforementioned. Interesting video though, I liked it.

yea, he does look a bit awkward, but that doesn't change the fact that it looked kinda cool to see him wrapped in that electronics suit for the game. (To capture his motions)
