They'll have to be downloaded from Xbox Live or Playstation Network directly through the console. I don't think this version of Guitar Hero will have a PC version. (which will make it harder to leak)

I understand their desire to stay relevant, and it is a smart move to be involved with the whole GH stuff. I think it's awesome that Billy is going to be a playable character in the game. They will earn new fans and I am all for that because they are a great band and deserve the attention. I mean, come on, it's ONE song for crying out loud! I am certainly not going to start hating on the band because of this! I am bummed we won't be getting the song sooner, but I am just thankful they are still out there making music. I support the band 100%!!!
I was going to buy GH anyhow, and now I want it even more. LIGHTEN UP PEOPLE!!!!

i think more then half the negativity direct towards SP comes from the fanbase (this site) rather then the various media outlets reponsible in the past.

we all judge the politics, reasons, opinions and other judgements and then decide whether we like it or not.

just listen to the f#@*in song and nothing else.

and your not gonna have to buy the game just to get the song, they'll other releases i'm sure (itunes etc.) most likely the next day after the GH release.

or you could all get jobs save some money stop being cheap.

the leak will be out within hours of the game release. all it takes is the audio output from your game console hooked into the soundcard of your comptuer and a "record" button and boom! somebody has it as MP3....and it'll be online being sent all over the world in no time.

Sure, but you're going to get sound effects overlapped with it, unless the game lets you play the songs by themselves. I'm not sure.

i'm not sure i would go that far, but this news did pretty much fuck up my day. this sucks big time.

and another sad thought- GLOW is on a download pack right? so that means its kind of like a supplement to the songs already on the game right? i'm not sure how this works.

so would those songs appear on a guitar hero soundtrack or would that just be the songs on the standard release of the game- the regular songs on it, not the supplemental downloads?

I think exclusive means that it's only exclusive to the Guitar Hero brand of video games, not that it's a media exclusive release. It does say it will be released afterwards.

Billy told us in Davenport that there will be a physical release in Europe and a digital release in the US.
