So are you saying G.L.O.W won't chart on billboard or won't be released for radio play... surely.... just because you don't have the console or whatever to play guitar hero doesn't mean your not gonna hear the song or won't be denied of the opportunity too.

I think there's a promotional video for GH3 where the guitarist from Dragonforce plays their song on the hardest setting, and got booed off the stage two seconds into it.

The only noteworthy thing about this news is that the release date has changed. We already knew it was going to be included for GH3, and the actual release coming later than that only changes the release date really. That's annoying as I was really looking forward to hearing the studio version this month, but it's hardly the end of the world.
I would expect a leaked version to come out either soon after it's released on GH3 or before then - once the studio version starts getting handed around someone will leak it.

The Press release does seem a little clouded and unclear as to how the song is going to be released in America other than GH3.

I think the band need to clarify quickly if the song will be distributed via another method (IE Itunes) otherwise I forsee allot of people stateside just downloading the song via un-official means.
Moving with the times is one thing, but completely isolating a big portion of your fanbase ?????!!!
I just hope its the SP PR people Fu:$@ing up by not letting us have all the info on further distribution.

last we heard it was September for the song, so maybe it has to wait until after GH releases...

Yeah; the only negative thing about this is that its been delayed (unless you really hate guitar hero and think this has tainted the band somehow), but they might still put it on their myspace or something. And if theres one thing Ive learnt about technology/internet is that there's always a way to get a song out there.

well at least its coming out for physical and digital release at some point. that's awesome the everlasting gaze is getting released on guitar hero though!!!!

Im along the same way of thinking. This is going to be "the" signature song for the next release of GH, so the odds of it ending up on the CD/Digital GH Soundtrack that is usually released after the game would be pretty high.

So for me, this release is no different to say the release of Eye ... it was used in a movie and was released solely on a soundtrack. Plus its not like 10 years ago where we had to pay for the entire Lost Highway soundtrack to hear the one song, just like the Legends of Rock Soundtrack for GH it will be on iTunes and we should be able to buy GLOW if we want ... just like Cherub Rock appeared on the Legends of Rock soundtrack.

So in theory thats what I feel will be happening, press release could have avoided this confusion, allowing us to focus on just what the Pumpkins are doing ... something ground breaking, something that will introduce them to a new audience. Computer games are a huge industry (bigger than movies), if people like GLOW ... this could be huge for the band.
