I was just reading the artice on sp.com about mixtapes. I have been tring to turn my 16 year old nephew into a Pumpkin fan, and I think making him a mixed tape er..cd would be a great way to go. He likes somewhat heavier stuff and I have some ideas, I was just wondering if maybe you guys could help me out with a kick ass songlist.  |

I read that article too. I'm trying to get my friend to listen to SP at least once, but as the article says, she's a Mariah Carey fan...so it's hard to talk to her about a lot of things.

I have a one hour radio show, so I basically make a mixtape every week, as I keep in mind many of the "rules" behind making the mixtapes. I've been thinking about making an all Pumpkins hour! Just to irk all the indie folk listening to the station (there isn't a single pumpkins song in the station's music library, I have to bring in my own. I started the show off today with "The Boy". It made me happy.)  |

also I know exactly how people are feeling about friends music preferences. Everyone I am around are Hip Hop and R&B lovers, that can't appreciate the Pumpkins yet....... |

I don't think it will be all that hard for me to convert my nephew, he admitted to me yesterday that he loves The Everlasting Gaze! I think I am beginning to wear off on him I'll admit it, I used to LOVE Mariah Carey, too, and I still do like some of her songs  I was never hardcore, though. Led Zeppelin is the only other band I've ever been insane about. |
