i see your point there...

however, i think ghostchild is correct because it should be a given that they havent played there since 2000 because the band didnt exist from 2000 until the reunion. so when he says its the first time they have played in chicago since the reunion i think its pretty much a given that it also means since 2000 as well.

haha...who knew we'd end up in a semantic arguement over one sentence...

it's the first time since the reunion they have played in chicago. meaning that the reunion happened (with absolutely zero connection to chicago in any way) and this tour will mark the first time since that happened that they will play chicago.

plus, if you read the entire article you get quite a bit of discussion and analysis about the metro 2000 show as their last chicago performance prior to this tour.

i see your point, but honestly... anybody reading the article who doesn't know that the band hasn't played chicago since the "final" metro show in 2000 has been living in a cave.

Just read this week's article about the arising tour GC. Good article. took me back to when I could not get tickets to see them at DC in 99. for some reason every time I try to get tickets to the 9:30 club I cannot. I wanted to see that show so bad.
