Ransom 2 Months ago
i was listening to the Ransom songs in my car the other day and felt moved to bring a little highlight to them here in the forums.

what is everyone's opinion on them? like them? hate them? miss matt walker?

personally i like them. worms and spiders are my two favorites of the bunch. i also wonder what some or all of these songs could or would sound like with lyrics.

thoughts?

Some of them are okay, but they don't really do anything for me.

I've never heard the songs independent from where they are in the film, so I've always been turned off by them. I just can't separate the music from the torture of the little kid!

oh no! you all must hear them.

i know what you mean trillian... thankfully i bought and heard the soundtrack before i saw the movie. then when i saw the movie i was like... oh man.

great songs though... even with the bad connotation.

superchrist, definitely check out worms, spiders, and squirrels with tails all the way through.

Hey, ransom is super cool and super underrated Billy Corgan industrial-rock stuff...I own the soundtrack and i love the things Billy recorded for the movie, tough I never saw the film....

I only saw the movie to hear because of the songs. I kept waiting and waiting, and then it was funny to instantly know which music was his. I didn't know at first if he did the score or what.
Funny also to see it in the credits as "kidnapper's boombox music" or something like that.
I bought the soundrack as well. I really like those songs. I only saw the movie once, so I've been able to appreciate the songs apart from what was going on at the time in the movie.
