Calling all pumpkin fans that are in the southwest Va area, I'm trying to get the local non profit theater - the Lyric- (www.thelyric.com/) to show the new documentary, "If All Goes Wrong." I'm not in VA but would If All Goes Wrong have a better chance of having showings at the theater if people called or contacted the theater via the internet letting them know there was interest?

In that vein...would you be open to this being a thread for people in various areas of the country putting links up to theaters in their area that would be perfect venues for the film? If not and others are interested another thread could be started. But I know of a couple of theaters in Phoenix & Tempe that would be great fits and The Vic in SW Michigan (where I grew up).


I'm just thinking that if the theater sees an interest in the film they would be more likely to bring the movie in.

I sent in my request for them to play the show..I said something along the lines of it would be a great honor......and ended it with I am sure it will be a successful event for the Lyric

I'm kind of thinking of going at it in a "I'm looking for your show times for If All Goes Wrong" way. Then if they don't have the film on schedule I think I will show shock and say something along the lines of "wow, I thought you would be the theater to have this...now what are my friends and I going to do?"

OK I can’t believe this. This is the 5th largest city in the US and this is it for art house movie theaters? None really of quality architecture, none that the walls are alive with the history of the place. I mean even in lil’ Ol South West Michigan there are three that come to mind that had atmospheric interest. I guess this is something I’m going to have to work on here. *grin*

Well I got an email back from the Lyric saying they didn't think they were going to show the film. However I also contacted the Virginia Tech Student Union - its in charge of all the student events etc. and they seem pretty pyched about showing the film! So fingers crossed and we'll see if we can't get this thing shown at Virginia Tech.

ahhh! now that would be cool. fingers crossed. i know what you mean... i thought i was the only pumpkinhead in this small area of the country

Also I contacted the Grandin Theatre in Roanoke, VA and they are interested!!!

yeah i was wondering about grandin. usually they are pretty keen on things like that.
