So, I watched this video and I just found it so touching. Especially after watching the full length video with the girl's commentary. Honestly, this is my favorite music video because of the honest and realisitic depiction of human emotion and suffering. It really touched me and I even cryed. It showed what true love is and how rewarding and taxing life can be... <3

I watched the Try Try Try short film for the first time yesterday and blow away. It is so sad and moving. the song had always been my least favorite on Machina but now I feel I understand it better. The video made it come alive for me.

I really thought that the shorter video shouldn't of cut the fact that the girl and her boyfriend took turns prostituting themselves. In the regular video it appears that the boy doesn't and just makes his pregnant girlfriend do it, which casts him in a less favorable light. I just liked (though its REALLY depressing) the clarification in the longer version.

im not the biggest fan of the video (love the song) but watching and knowing the video really puts the song is a different light.

It's a very powerful video that fits the song very well. It's actually kinda tough for me to watch. like a bad train wreck or something...it's kind of horrifying but you can't look away.

They made that video knowing it would be the last video they did. (prior to the re-formation, that is...) MTV was falling apart and airing less and less videos at the time, and they didn't feel like VH1 would really pick it up one way or the other so they just went for broke and tried to make it as in your face and honest as they could, even if it was somewhat disturbing.

I couldn't believe what Corgan said when he was on VH1 storytellers (see the sharing section where there is a 40 minute video I shared in my topic). I don't believe it's a bout "trying to hold on to someone." "Kind of like a good luck song." I can't believe that when I see the horrifying and moving music video. It doesn't comply with his explanation on that video... I think it shows what true and unconditional love is.

And now for something completely different ...

I hate the video. I hate that Jonas Ackerlund tries to be controversial for controversy's sake (see "Smack My Bitch Up" or "What It's Like For a Girl". The middle part looks like a horrible ripoff of "Black Hole Sun." The short film is mind-numbingly drab. And I'm darn near offended that Billy is the only band member who appears in the video. And he looks like utter shiite in it.

I like to pretend this video doesn't exist. I think it was a horrible visual sendoff from a band who used to take music videos to their grandest scale.

In a way, that was the point. They knew it'd be the last video and it was just a big F-you to the record company and the MTV's of the world. They knew it wouldn't get much play on TV...that's why it was made so graphic.

I don't really like it. "Wound" should have been one of the singles from MACHINA.

At first, I was kind of bummed that Billy was the only member in the video, it was like a Billy Corgan solo song, not an SP song. And I still am, because it kind of makes it hard for me to imagine this song in a band setting.

But otherwise, I think it certainly did it's job of being a controversial final video. I would have preferred a more grand video to fit a grand song for a grand exit, such as Age of Innocence.

I think the video is pretty good. It's not right up up there, kinda in the middle.

The song I love. I mean, its not my favorite of the pumpkins, not even close, but it is a very beautiful song, like much of their work. However the video isn't good. First off, Billy is the only band member, and being how they're about to leave us (at the time they were at least) I think that they should show all the members for a final time. And the parts with the homeless people...well, that was just clips from the short film. I know the song was made for that film, but, its just seems like one of those unoriginal music videos where you occasionally see the singer and the rest is just footage from the short film. If you want a different example look up..I think it is called We Run This by Missy Eliot on youtube and watch the music video.

i hate Jonas Ackerlund. hes such a tool in Green Day's Bullet in a Bible. and the video is a little to graphic and disgusting for me. those two shouldnt be doin drugs if they gotsta prostitute themselves for it! damn, its kinda disgusting.

the song is fine, but i hate the video. i find it less touching and more ick, especially that dream sequence- WTF?
