melissa does great,resent d'arcy for leaving a LIL but i would pick d'arcy "once a pumpkin always a pumpkin"-billy corgan

Wel, this is going to be unanimous. I mean, I love Melissa Auf Der Maur, but I think D'arcy helped form who the Pumpkins are.... I really hope she comes back... she hasn't done ANYTHING since she left the Pumpkins....

I miss you D'Arcy!!! *cries and runs off and hides in a dark corner...somewhere...* D'Arcy was great. She's all creepy and stuff. She had sooo many different looks lol.
And isn't Darcy at her best. There needs to be a better pic of her as an emocon!

Am I the only one who prefers Melissa Auf der Maur just because she's prettier? Perhaps I'm just shallow...

But you have to admit, she IS very beautiful!

But you have to admit, she IS very beautiful!

Compared to D'Arcy, yeah...
I agree that D'arcy will always be a Pumpkin and she has such an original feel to her that no other bassist can ever replace.
Plus, Melissa only did one album where as D'Arcy was on all of them except Machina.

I thought darcy did the recording for machina but left and so mellisa just came in for the final tour, correct me if im wrong.

melissa is hot i agree,but d'arcy is just someone in my heart who will always be liked much more because of the hard work and love she had for music with billy...d'arcy is supposedly retired and has a farm

D'Arcy was on Machina too.

Wow I didn't even notice that until you guys pointed it out! I just knew that Melissa toured with them and stuff so i assumed she played on the album. But I just checked my Machina booklet and yep, D'Arcy's name is on it. Learn something new everyday...

I could go read the booklet, but i choose not too....did do all of the recording on the album?

haha that would mean that in the videos, is faking it!!

yeah d'arcy has a farm, with the set from the tonight tonight video in one of the barns I think

I like them both for different reasons.

Melissa b/c of her stage presence and personality. She's very lively and spunky.

D'arcy b/c of her style and she was there from the beginning. She's gorgeous!

I'd probably pick D'arcy over Melissa to be the Pumpkins bassist, but Melissa has the chops to front her own band.
