Starla. 7 Months, 2 Weeks ago
Hey, other guitar players:

In the epic starla jam, Billy is obviously laying the effects on heavy.. how is he getting the warble effect though? it almost sounds like some type of tremolo deal. Anybody?

(for example, right about 8.40)
he does it mainly whenever he holds a note.

It's definitly a tremolo...I tested it this way:
Use extra heavy distortion, play one of the higher tones and shake your tremolo very fast!! I got nearby the original Starla effect!
...by the way: If you listen very close, I think this part was played by James and not Billy, because it sounds like "Iha-style".
(that means, it's close to live solos of James and what he's palying right now for "a perfect boredom" ahhh, I mean "a perfect circle!"

ah, really? :/

I don't like using my trem arm... it gets in the way. I just push the bridge with my palm.

whenever i try using mine it detunes all the strings
but i think i just need to use it more to get the strings and bridge more used to the tremelo.
