yeah, without sounding like an ass, you guys should really pass on those things and save up for something better. Those pedals won't last you a long time... you'll probably get tired of them, and if you ever form a band and want to start playing shows, you won't want to take those on stage.

Oh yeah, for sure. I have some pretty nice pedals. I just thought I'd try a bunch of cheap ones. I mean I got 5 for less than 60$.

I don't have any boss pedals though, I'll have to get one.
I really want a nice echo pedal. I was thinking about getting the Line 6 Echo Park. That thing sounds awesome.

HeavyMetalMachine, how good are the FAB Distortions?! They are awesome, its my main dirty sound, you just need to have a play around with the (weird) knobs; the tone is really weird on it though, takes a while to get used to.

A good, cheapish chorus pedal is the Marshall Supervibe, very versatile and quite good sounding for a cheap, compact little thing

With your Flanger, don't just throw it away, open it up and check everything is connected right, no dust in it, and that the battery and lead connections are touching correctly; otherwise it may be that your pedal is indeed screwed
As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for, and that applies most the time for pedals too

Alright, I'll have to play around with it more.
It's not to useful to me though considering that I have other distortion pedals. I'll have to chck out that Marshall Pedal though.

As for the Flanger. I already did open it up. =/. At first when no sound was going through, there was the blue light indicating that it was on. So i took it apart to see whats up and there was a piece missing of the microchip. I soldered it back on. and when I plugged it in there was no light and it got all hot. =/

After not using it for a while, I plugged in my Big Muff today and it renewed my love for it. Sounds awesome on SP songs. Best distortion pedal ever.

I made a shotty video using my Big Muff. It's not very good, but the Muff sounded really good on United States.

I recently got heavy strings for the E A and D strings on my guitar.
They're so nice. Theres better tone, more sustain, and clearer harmonics.

Re:Equipment Thread 6 Months, 1 Week ago
These days, I'm mucjing around with my crappy little cheap Gibson.

Here's what I'm doing with it:
•Playing in D#-G-G#-d#-a#-d# tuning, a tuning I made up, which is explained in another thread.

•Playing with a violin bow that I'm borrowing from the school I'm only borrowing it, because I wasn't allowed to keep it. Why? "they cost a lot of money, you know!" It didn't look expensive to me, it looked like a piece of shit, which hung from the music room ceiling among many other shoddy and unplayable instruments. I'm sure no-one would of missed it.

•Having a look inside the guitar, looking at where all the wires go, thinking about modding it to have two outputs, as explained in another thread.

• Arranging the strings Scordatura style, which means crossing over the strings between the bridge and the tailpiece. It doesn't really change the tone or anything in this case, it's merely an aesthetic thing.

I tried playing my guitar with a violin bow cause i saw some guy from some famouse band do it. I didn't really find it to be that interesting. Perhaps I was doing it wrong?

Anyway, have you experimented with an eBow yet? An "electronic bow"?
they're pretty cool
