So im a huge fan of muse and Matt Bellamy, the guitar player, has these custom manson guitars with Kaoss Pads built into them (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaoss_Pad). So i searched "Kaoss guitar" and got this tutorial on how to build it- http://www.unmaintained.com/forums/1/43/ShowThread.aspx

Im going to save up for a cheap Epiphone les Paul, Kaoss pad, and all other supplies and im going to get working on it! it seems like the coolest thing that can be done to a guitar. If you play guitar and have some idea of modding them, i advise you take a look at it!

I think the sound is too electronic, you cant really hear the guitar's sound, but it is trippy. (it)kinda reminds me of a theramin.

Hah. Teej, you and me both know that Bellamy's guitars easily cost over 3000 dollars. Matt is a decent guitar player. His Kaoss pads and pedals just add some variety to certain songs. Personally, I find kaoss just fun to look at.

Ok. so my guitar came today. it looks pretty cool but sounds terrible. so im gonna get some good strings to put on it for after the mod is complete. here is what the guitar looks like now

UPDATE- no pad yet, but i got the DB9 Serial connectors so im ready to solder...if only i had that damn kaoss pad

i got my kaoss pad. took it apart after playing with it for an hour..its got some crazy shit! haha its awesome. so the touch pad is out and tonight im going to be making the cover for the screen and practice my desoldering- maybe jump into desoldering the ribbon connector! im havin a good time doing this already

almost done! just need to resolder some wires to the connectors. then it should be up and running! its pretty cool!
