Ok, so for the new tour what bands would you like to see open for the pumpkins...(as if they need any help).
List 3 Bands you would want to see in order leading up to SP taking the stage.

My second favorite band in the world!!!!!!! Tenacious D does have a movie coming out on the 22nd so we may get a few tour dates. I have seen them on the road and I have the DVD of them in the studio and on tour. Tenacious D kicks everyones ass out today and you can quote me on that!!!!!!!!!

I love Tenacious D, but not a good fit for a Pumpkins show.
Who is the band on the Pumpkins myspace, The Silversun Pickups?? Maybe its going to be them.

You dont think they would rock as a first act...you know some real bands follow - then the Pumpkins experience?
What about the Tenacious D All-stars? (J.B., K.G., Dave Grohl, Page McConnell of Phish, Warren Fitzgerald, and Steve McDonald)

I guess your right. I've never seen Tenacious D live before, so I don't know how their shows are.
Personally I'd rather have no opening band. Let the Pumpkins come on early and play a longer show.

My Morning Jacket were pretty good with Pearl Jam, but I don't really listen to any of their stuff besides the show I saw them at.
Maybe Audioslave? That would be pretty cool.
Raconteurs, maybe... Just wild guesses.

Critics have compared them to the Pumpkins, so that would be a good choice. They've said that "Lazy Eye" is the Silversun Pickups's "Zero".
I suggest Be Your Own Pet, Bloc Party, The Silversun Pickups, Clinic, Stars, TV on the Radio, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Spoon.

Have you checked out the pumpkins myspacerecently because they're now playing other bands songs that they're in to. At the moment its The Boxer Rebellion, for example. Mabe they'll tour with one of these less known bands to help promote them.
