I posted this on another board, but I would to see if I can get feedback anywhere I can. So I am trying to redesign my Act IV myspace page with a color scheme that is closer to the Act IV website. Most editors do a decent enough job, but the seem to always exclude on element: being able to specify the color of each cell in the tables.
I wil use my myspace page as an example:
http://www.myspace.com/act4music
You will not that the cells for Contacting Act IV and Act IV General Info are blue with white text, and the cells below them are either white, are lighter shades of blue. All I want to do is change the color of say the 'Contacting Act IV' cell to be a shade of purple with white text and have the cell below it to be black (like how I have my tables set up on the Act IV site
http://www.act4.net).
However, whenever I tried to use any sort of code or generator that modifies the layout, it forces to have these entire tables one single color, say black. These editors also only allow you to change the color of the text for the cells that have the headings in them, rather than having the background color of those cells different than the rest of the table.
Any suggestions? Please no smart ass comments like 'Myspace sucks'. I seriously need people's help on this. Someone on myspace mentioned DIV overlay, but the myspace they used as an example involves much more elaborate changes (so it doesn't even look like a myspace anymore) than I need or want. The person who told me about this can't help me at the moment because they have a bad case of the flu, so any help is appreciated.
