Has anyone else seen this? I dared over the weekend. FYI - there are some male-on-male gratuitous naked wrestling scenes I could have done without. On the whole, this show was high on the stupidity factor, but to me it was also hilarious. Mostly I liked it because I lived in Russia and have been to Kazakhstan. It was pretty clever how they over exaggerated stereotypes to prove a point. The thing I was most interested and found most amusing was the language. Because I speak Russian it was hilarious to me how they used literal translations of how English - > Russian -> back to English would end up. Pretty amusing.

haha yeah, i saw that a while back. it was hilarious. and the guy-on-guy naked wrestling scene was so funny that i didn't even care how nasty it was. plus everything was censored anyways, which actually made it funnier (if you see it you'll know what i mean). i've been watching Da Ali G show for years and i'm so happy they finally made a movie about Borat. They're making one about Bruno too, but i doubt it'll be nearly as funny. I don't care who you are, this'll be one of the funniest movies you've ever seen... unless you're Jewish and can't take a joke, but he also ragged on Christians, Muslims, blacks, southerners, and Americans in general, so Jews shouldn't take it personally.

i should go see it...ali g was salvation in highschool. i just love the concept of a jewish male posing as a while male posing as a black male..with a rasta accent to top it off hahaha

This is the best movie of the year and by far the funniest movie of the new decade.

I had never watched Da Ali G show. . so this was my first introduction to Borat. .but everyone says that series is hilarious. Since I get it and its reruns on HBO all the time, I'm going to have to start watching it.

ok so i went and saw this yesterday...pretty fucking funny in some parts but i made the mistake of going to see it in the suburb leichart as at broadway in the city guess who the flip was there? mr sacha baron cohen himself...wandering around as borat kissing people in his fluro g-string swimsuit...my brother was the lucky one to witness this but apparantly hes going to be doing it around the city while its showing here...so maybe i might catch him on my way to work lol...i was soo jealous

I love Borat too! But wow, this movie had humor at so many levels. I don't think I'll ever get tired of watching this over and over again.

By the way, do you think the prostitute was real or an actress?

My favorite part was when he came into the hotel acting gangsta, with the pants of his suit at his knees "Whatz up vanilla face"

And I think the prostitute was definately an actress

It was just awful when she walked in on the dinner party and they kicked her out. I don't think they thought she was a prostitute, just racist. And the church was just weird

YES! I was laughing so hard at that part!! I also think the prostitute was an actress too - some of the characters were paid actors. . others were unwitting extras.

What do you think this movie is about? I mean, besides having fun with cultural taboos, do you think there was some other purpose behind it?
