MCR are one of my favourite bands. And I don't much care about image, as videos, stage antics etc have little to do with the music.

I dislike them, absolutely no variety, none at all. Everysong has almost exactly the same structure

ok i couldnt really be bothered reading through that all *laughs* so sorry if im echoing someone i hink MCR are alright i like how they try to evolve, they have stated in interviews they want to reach the status the pumpkins did and have listed them as influences but, has anyone noticed how similiar the the black parade video is to tonight tonight with the fades and changes in focus and stuff is it the same director ??? anyone know

One of their songs "The Sharpest Lives" reminds me alot of a pumpkins song, with this intro, its like 1 repetitive note, its like "Fuck You."

Check it out sometime, its a good song too.

And yeah, now that I think of it, it does look alot like it, with the fading!!!

My Chemical Romance has got to be one of the worst bands of all time. The singer has a horrible voice and he is absolutely shocking he can't sing whatsoever, he should have been strangled at birth! I'm getting sick of listening to their lackluster songs and seeing their videos on TV, why do emo bands try make their music videos look like movie clips it's getting boring. I heard them do a cover of Blur's Song 2 the other week and it was bloody awful. The drums had a crap sound, the guitar had a crap tone and it was out tune and don't get me started on the vocals, they were an utter shambles. Why anyone would want to buy a record of theirs I don't know, they give music a bad name.

now im not a critic -i dont listen to individual instruments or vocals- i just listen to music, and from what i heared, i dont think mcr is a horrible band...but mao_say_tongue i think you are pityful, and i dont even like mcr!

i can see where they are coming from i dont think music today is at its best and MCR have sparked an uprising in emonizm as of late. Its just one of those phases of shite in the mainstream its like anything else you hear it you like it , you dont , you get over it *shrugs*. I dont understand these people that go into big long rants about how they hate a certain band because of the genre they do *laughs* i hink most music should be judged by songs and by ur heart not by what anyone else likes or dislikes.
