the belgian band dEUS (yes, i'm a patriot, you get it ) I don't know if you know them, but they're quite big for a band from a small european country such as belgium..

I heard a band from belgium i realy likes, cant remember the name though, wasnt deus though. Other than that i have been getting into alot of black metal bands, and alot of european stuff, particulaly from finland

The 69 eyes
Charon
The rasmus
CMX
Apulanta
Children of Bodom
Lovex
To/Die/For
Negative
Sentenced

From norway:
Arcturus
Dimmu Borgir

From Sweden:
Arch Enemy
Opeth
Emperor (i think they are from sweden maybe not)
In Flames

European bands seem to be pretty decent these days

30 Seconds To Mars:
I was sitting in a Hard Rock Cafe in Houston, waiting for my food, to tide me over during the Evanescence concert (fanboy squeal!!!), and "The Kill" came on their TVs, of course I had been staring at the TVs the entire time. So I watched the video and I loved the song. That night after the concert I went home and looked 30 Seconds To Mars up on iTunes to listen to some samples, and I was in.

Evanescence:
My mom had always listened to the Cranberries (Irish alternative band) from the early ninetees to the present. She always visited some fansite (that is very much like SPFC, but for the Cranberries) to check for updates and such. She saw this list of similar music, the kind of thing that says "Buyers also liked -" And Fallen by Evanescence was on there. I heard her listening to Fallen one day in the car, and I thought it was great So I'm a fan now.

They don't sound much alike. I can see how it would be to an untrained ear. :/
The instrumentals are a bit alike but the voice is a LOT different.

I find them way different, personally I don't like either.

I find all the weird symphonic rock strange.

That's a brilliant band. Their songs are beautiful.

I discovered Wintersleep a few weeks ago, they have some pretty cool songs.
