i'm not hating but if SP never evolved and every album sounded like their first release we would have never been blessed with siamese dream or mcis. all i'm trying to say is every decade has a different sound and in my opinion we shouldn't automatically dismiss every new band that comes out because they don't sound like bands did in 1992.

well thats your opinion that based on their huge fanbase and record sales lots of others don't share (including billy since they're on the sp myspace). i don't really understand why everyone feels to the need to be so negative towards something they don't like and probably never gave a chance. rock was dead for years until mcr revived it. now if you'll excuse me, i'm gonna go pray to the mcr gods, oh MCR, we bow down to you, we worship you, we hail you! and yes that includes

And you dont think billy could have been joking? MCR are not talented musicians, they may have bought back rock, but certainly not what i would call revolutionary rock. And i did give mcr a big chance, a freind of mine loves them, and lent me two albums, three cheers for sweet revenge, and the black parade. I had heard alot of good things about the band, but after having heard it i cannot stand it. They use the same three chord riffs in just about every song. And not to mention the drumming HA!, it realy isnt particulaly brilliant music. Its catchy, sure, and if thats all you intend on getting out of music then thats fine. But dont even begin to say that it is "good" musicaly. (sorry to offend, but this is important to me)

It's the hard drives. I don't like the idea of HDD recording. I also don't like the idea of bands getting big through MySpace. HDD makes music to perfect. You don't really have to play the instrument well or sing well, you can just fix it up in Pro Tools.The flaws make it what it is.

I agree, i am 17 and hate most modern music, while there are still some very good bands, most mainstream bands suck. Its to packaged and perfect. Or in some cases, terrible and crappy. Its like you dont need musican ability to be famous and it sickens me. cough mcr cough, cough P!atd cough
