Who here plays an instrument, or is involved in any music group? Do you write your own music?

I've been playing the violin since I was five, but I have never been involved in any formal performance ensemble until two years ago, when I became part of a newly formed mariachi group. It's pretty fun! I'm getting a minor in Music Theory and History (of Western Classical music), but I have no talent when it comes to composing. So I have great admiration for people who can write their own songs (provided it sounds good)!

I play the Violin, Guitar, and the bass guitar. I write my own music... And I have some songs that I'm going to record, and put them on a disc for my friends. I'm gonna have a Pumpkin song or two on it. ^.^

I try to play guitar, drums, and my friend and I write some music...when our other friend comes to complete the triangle we may get a project going

(of course I hardly ever play anymore)

I'm a flute player and about two years ago I took up the bass guitar. I can't say that I play either very well, but I'm a far better flute player than I am a bassist. I still come up with decent stuff though. I have a band too. We're called Mellojacques and we mostly play for ourselves and to have fun. We get to playing together whenever we can.

I play drums, i have played for about 3 and a half years, me and some freinds have only just recently stated to make a band. We dont do our own songs, just covers. Our best so far is "The White Unicorn" by "Wolfmother". Im trying to get the guys to do Geek USA though, that is such a fun song to play. Very energetic.

i've never had a lesson in my life, and I don't own a drum set, but somehow I can play them...I borrow a set over the summer

i was learning to play guitar but sadly my teacher abandoned me and my guitar is pretty fucked up . ive kinda got the intro of Galapagos and Today but yeah i suck.

haha, yeah today is pretty easy..you just have to worry about the pull off

disarm is pretty easy if you just learn the chords.......there's only like 4 of them

yeah i play the guitar. but im not as good as i want to be. i make little simple songs and just put them on my voice mail. im in this thrash metal band. but im just a "dedicated temp" no input.
