haha, ol' catholocism, my thought about that are a little extream so we wont go into that, to save any catholics that might be here.

i'd absolutely love to believe in god; it would be so comforting. but all evidence points to a godless universe. so that's why i don't like belief. and i really don't dislike christians themselves [i live in the south; how could i survive??], just the idea of religion.
if you genuinely think for yourself about this sort of thing, and you come to the conclusion that there is a god, more power to ya. but that's not really faith, is it? it's more of a conclusion based on contemplation.

does it matter wether it fits the technical defination of faith?, i believe there is a god because it comforts me and gives me hope.Other wise i would probly be apathetic and lifeless, like i used to be. I have faith, faith that love exists, faith that something/someone exists that validates our existance.

I never said it wasnt, but for me, the presence of something greater than what we can understand, something that loves us and cares for us is the only thing that validates our existance and the only thing that gives life meaning and purpose. I am not content to simply be apart of an evolutionary process, there is little point to that.
