It was definitely set up. My guess is that there was something on it that made it noticable, like being taped to the wall or had something written on it.

or they might've just left them in alot of places, in order to increase the probability that someone would decide to pick one up and find out what was on it. i'd definitely be a little reluctant to do that tho, especially if it was in a bathroom.

Well, there was one exactly the same found at a show a couple of weeks later. And apparently at one of the London shows there were around 10 or so with the Survivalism video on them.

I noticed a Pumpkins thread was kinda turning into a NIN one so Ill start one here. NIN has created this whole world for their new album. Ive heard that they have hired an entertainment company called "42" or something like that to help with the process. They have actors and have created dozens of websites around this new album. At their shows prior to the album release people found zip drives and other forms of media in the venue's bathrooms with clips of tracks or entire singles on them.

One example of what is going on with "Year Zero" and the resistance.

Last week a bunch of people in LA got kits with cell phones from some dudes in a van somewhere? Well, these lucky fans got calls on their phones telling them to show up at a certain location and what began as a resistance meeting led to a secret Nine Inch Nails performance that was prematurely ended by a SWAT team.
