Not yet, but I'm sure it won't be long before the local teeny boppers (and I don't mean that in a bad way, for those of you who are still young ones) are firing away late at night. Just sucks for me, since I have to get up and go to work! We usually have about a 2 week period of non-stop nightly bottle rockets going off around the neighborhood.
Where are you spending the 4th? I gotta go do time with family in the Midwest. May not be too exciting, but it's a week away from the office!!!!!!!!!!!

So the entire continent of Australia is a fan of the Smashing Pumpkins? Wow, it must be an awesome place.
But really, I don't know much about Australia. The only exposure I've had to the country has been through Outback Steakhouse and Foster's beer commercials. But even through these few sources, I believe that I've been able to learn a lot about Australia through my expert observations. For example, I've learned that Australians are desert-dwelling, unhygienic alcoholics, and that the staple food is deep fried onion blossoms. And they speak with that funny accent! Oh, I think perhaps I'd like to visit one day...

hmmm, i know how you feel. my neighbors seem to use fireworks, a little too much. they usually do it for mexican holidays too (they were launching fireworks for a full week until Cinco de Mayo came around, argh)

Cinco de Mayo isn't a Mexican holiday in any way, shape or form. It's just an excuse for Americans to drink.

I have a friend who's studying abroad in Australia. I forget which part she's in, but from what she's told me it's beautiful.
She also said that Lamingtons are good.
