I went to Connecticut to watch the filming of Indiana Jones IV.

The first two photos were taken in West Haven where they were filming a scene at a church. The movie takes place in the 1950s, so there were extras dressed in period clothing, and cars from the era parked in the streets. It was a small crew. There wasn't too much happening, so I went to New Haven where the major filming was happening.
The production in New Haven was very big.

There were easily over one hundred 1950s cars being used and hundreds of extras and crew members.

Here are the stunt doubles of Shia LaBeouf and Harrison Ford, but sadly I never got to see the real actors.

A lot of old cars and extras came up and down this street.

Extras.

Extras.

When that scene was over, I moved on to Chapel Street.

Everything you see on these storefronts are props put up by the film crew, including the signs.

Something was going on here, but I couldn't see too much. You can see the stunt doubles in the middle of the photo. After a long time of waiting, nothing really happened. So I moved on.

I saw this truck coming down College Street.

Spielberg!

He waved to everyone and said "Hello... hello... hello..."

Then he went back down the street. He brought the light.

I crossed to the other side of the street.

Spielberg came back.

He smiled and said hello to everyone again. He was a very nice man.

The car they were filming didn't even have a driver, which was strange.
All in all, it was a great day.
