They're beginning to broadcast an NBC show called "Heroes" on Belgian tv soon. I saw a poster of it, and it looked just like that LOST picture with all the main characters, so I hope it won't be some kind of cheap LOST ripoff. And I was wondering maybe some of you watch it? Is it good/bad/okay?

I've seen the commercial for it. It looks like a cross of Lost and X-men (also I don't think the people are lost, just looks like it's made by the same people). I don't watch lost anyway.

Soprano's is a great show and Heroes is ok to, but no, it's nothing like lost.

The Soprano's is the best drama on television - PERIOD!!!!
I've never seen heroes but it's mainly about normal people who discover they have super-powers. I've actually heard good things about it.

I realize this thread is antiquated but seemed a place as good as any to inquire if anyone else is going through withdrawls of this show? It's my favorite (next to Lost!) Yes, I'm a big dork but Peter Petrelli, Hiro Nakamura and Mohinder Suresh have my heart.

I just finished wathing the first season and im totally hooked,this show is super-gory,with awesome special effects,& a really good story line,cant wait to see the second season.

The 1st series of Heroes has just finished on TV in the UK (-on cable and is just starting on terrestrial TV as it happens) and I never missed a show, there were times when I thought this is a good watch but nothings really happening here, but over all the story of the 1st series (or season) was well worth watching. However if you directly compare the writing with Lost, lost is on another level IMO. With lost you get the huge arcing story line the supsense and and story slowly unfolding before you to excellent effect.
BTW
Ive read critisaisms of lost on line such as 'I dont know whats happening' and 'nothings resolved quickly enough' which is just dumb to me, you never know what going to happen next-, and thats the great thing about it.
(heroes has the 'what going to happen next' thing going on but to a lot lesser degree).
Yep as you can tell I love lost.

Totally agreed, Feedbackcurrent. It's unfair to compare Lost and Heroes. Completely different ballgame. They're brilliant in their own ways. (Although because I was pretty dissatisfied with the first six eps of Lost this season, I was appreciative of how much resolution one does get from Heroes.)

Funny you mention that Trillian, my best friend is obsessed with Sylar. Head over heals in love with his character and himself as a person.

Sylar will stay, I saw an interview where Zachary was talking about the next season, he's so nice guy... nothing like Sylar
I'm pretty sure Peter will stay (he can regenerate),... I don't know about DL and Matt (DL wasn't very important, at least to me) 
I just hope not to be disappointed about the 2nd season. |
