ok - so just at small intimate shows where it says on your ticket "At the request of Billy Corgan, please hold all cheering until the end of the show."
Otherwise what right do u have to tell people not to cheer when they want? U are gonna cheer when u want right? Would u turn to a stranger at a sports event and ask them not to cheer?

Well concert screaming is fine, but when it's two drunk girls shouting out words and phrases to Billy that aren't exactly "fan related" then there's something that needs to stop.

I don't mind screaming at all, it would feel strange without it...
Unless of course you're at a Pearl Jam concert and it's two guys who are sitting right behind you and feel the need to yell out the longest song name in the Pearl Jam catalogue (Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town) over and over and over and over (x 1000)...

Im not saying screaming should be outlawed, that would be silly, it should just be kept within realistic limits, and not to detract from the experience of others. You dont want to go to a sigur ros concert and have the whole crowd screaming the whole time.

No problem. I know what it's like to have no one else know what I'm talking about. I try to help out other people when I see them in the same boat.
But I really did know what Dougy was talking about. I've seen Sigur Ros live a few times. It's a very otherworldly experience. Having someone shout and holler would just break the whole magical spell. Plus everyone's in a trance when they play, rendered speechless. |

i just hate when people feel the need to fill up the quiet gaps with a "woo" or "yeah", and then some of them dont really know the song: like thered be a quiet memorable riff as a bridge, but theyd yell over it and kill it
but when everyones screaming together for the first song, its pretty sweet
some people just dont know the art of concert screaming...  |
