Im sure all of you have heard about the horrible things Michael Vick has done to all of those dogs. Around 70 had to be taken from the property and all of them had to be put to sleep.

All I'm asking is everyone clicks on the link and at least send the generic email, you can add more or edit it if you like.

Thanks to anyone who participates.

Hey Starla. It's great that you support good causes and animal rights. I completely agree with your point of view.

While Vick is accused of contributing to the killing of dozens of dogs you should also know that peta kills thousands of dogs and cats every year.

Did You Know?

From July 1998 through December 2005, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) killed over 14,400 dogs, cats, and other "companion animals." That's more than five defenseless creatures every day. PETA has a walk-in freezer to store the dead bodies, and contracts with a Virginia Beach company to cremate them.

Not counting the pets PETA spayed and neutered, the group put to death over 90 percent of the animals it took in during 2005.

On its 2002 federal income-tax return, PETA claimed a $9,370 write-off for a giant walk-in freezer, the kind most people use as a meat locker or for ice-cream storage. But animal-rights activists don't eat meat or dairy foods. So far, the group hasn't confirmed the obvious -- that it's using the appliance to store the bodies of its victims.

In 2000, when the Associated Press first noted PETA's actions, PETA president Ingrid Newkirk complained that actually taking care of animals costs more than killing them. "We could become a no-kill shelter immediately," she admitted. PETA kills animals because it has other financial priorities.

I just want to clear this up. Im not a member of PETA, I do think they are a little extreme. However, Im sure they had to put many animals down because the animals they come into contact with are mostly like the pitbully found on Vicks property. They are unable to be pets to anyone. If PETA had an ulimited amount of money Im sure they would house all of the animals they take in but the dogs and cats they come in contact with are mostly very very sick animals that are beyond rehablitation or fight dogs that cannot be adopted.

That site says they spayed and neutered the dogs and cats it brought in as if it was a bad thing, which leads me to believe the person creating this site could be a person who created this site could be someone who PETA has outed for something before.

If you dont agree with PETA there are plenty of ways to write the Atlanta Falcons or the NFL. If you use the site i gave PETA is not going to get stronger or get anymore money.

Thanks again

He hasn't been convicted of anything yet. How many rapists and murders spent years in prison only to be later released after DNA testing was made available? The house is in his name, but he doesn't even visit. We don't know the agenda's of those who have allegedly placed him at the fights. We don't really know anything about the case and we haven't heard his point of view. We should wait until more information comes out before convicting someone. I'm sure there are many known and convicted dog fighters, why is PETA so agressively going after a celebrity before any conviction was made? Remember, innocent until proven guilty.

If you dont know anything about the case that is your own fault.

Here is the 18 page indictment

http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/years/2007/0717072vick1.html

The reason it seems PETA is so agressively going after him is not because he is a celeberity. They are that passionate about all cases like this. The reason it seems like they are jumping on him is because it is all over the media.

Also celeberties who have this money and privilage.. especially athletes are held to a higher standard. If the 5 billionth Kentucky back wood piece of trash or the 5 billionth 50 cent wanna be got caught doing this it wouldnt be a new story.

I hope he never steps foot on the field again. (if not much, much worse)
there is no reason to treat defenseless animals like that.

he doesn't deserve to step foot on a football field again. this always happens with professional athletes and they're always slapped on the wrist compared to others who are punished. This is off topic but don't get me started with Pacman Jones...
