i totally agree. will ferrel's movies are becoming very repetitive with him acting dumb for laughs. i think old school was the last movie i liked with him in it. anchorman was okay.

i absolutely loved when samuel l jackson said his famous line (like he pulls out his gun for no reason and gives a squinty eye to nothing, it was the funniest thing ever)

and i really like Stranger Than Fiction, but of course thats not really a will ferrel movie, but meh

i really hated smokin' ace's, it was alright to watch, but the ending was so stupid and a waste of time

Anti-Catholic movies like The Golden Compass (which is coming out in December or something), where they try to make it seam like it's a family movie, so a whole bunch of little kids can come see that Catholics are evil and have an enchanting experience at the same time.

I'm interested in this movie now - why is it anti catholic?

I'm not sure. According to an e-mail I got, it's based off the novels of some British atheist, who's trying to convert kids to atheism. The main villains in the series of books are the Magisterium, Cardinals, and the Pope. And the heroine is a girl who sets out to kill God.

But what they did is they took out all the anti-Catholic/Christian themes from the movie to make it more innocent and apealing to kids. They did this so they would read the books (which include harsh anti-catholic/christian themes) and most likely by merchandise.

i was expecting a damn labyrinth, pan's labyrinth that is. its not that stunning. and i dont like movies that have unhappy or unmeaningful endings. i actually liked arthur and the invisibles way more than pan's labyrinth. lol

i love wil ferral. stranger than fiction was a bit of a letdown. blades wasnt his best but he's still great..."i see you still look like a 15 year old girl but not hot" hahahaha CMON!!! i almost sprayed pepsi out my nose i was laughing so hard ...esp at the bit when he pukes in his wizard costume. it was pretty embarassing cos i saw it on my own....and u gotta love jon heder. i was watching napoleon dynamite today...its def one of my favourites.

i wasnt impressed with pans labyrinth. seemed just like a whole lotta potential. for a movie that seems like its going to be fairly sophisticated, it had too many obvious plot turns and blunders that the characters had to make to get it where it had to go. and for somone who quite likes mindless violence in films it was a bit too graphic at random intervals. the bottle in the face? only have to see it once or twice thanks...this is coming from someone who has a giggle at michael madsen cutting a guys ear off while dancing to jerry rafferty...

To me it just seems like another lame unoriginal "magical" book series/movie like Harry Potter, A Series of Unfortunate Events, and The Chronicles of Narnia.
