This interview was assigned to me (but I love the Shinys, so I'm stoked!) For a Web zine that focuses on Los Angeles-based bands. The way I get interviews varies: they might be assigned, I might pitch. And I definitely don't get all of them I want but I have been very very fortunate!

Well, Ruby, if any band I interview happens to make their way to Australia (that's where you're based, right?) and we can set up a photo shoot out there, I'll definitely keep you in mind!

hey trillian is there any dream interviews you hope to get someday?

The interview went pretty well. Jeremy's phone kept shorting out and he was a little standoffish (maybe it's because he had just done a radio interview right before me.) We talked about this dance club both of us used to frequent and how the Shinys love to dress up in silly costumes.

Corganvision: There are a TON of dream interviews I am still dying to get! David Bowie, Ringo Starr, Jake Gyllenhaal, the cast of Heroes, Zooey Deschanel, Conan O'Brien and Kathleen Hanna.

those would be some cool interviews, specially bowie and ringo!!!!

Excellent. I wish I had seen your post sooner - i would have told you to say hi for me. YEah - Jeremy is usually really busy. He handles most of the buisness for the band. I'm going to see them again this Monday. I dont know if I told u but we hung out after the their show in Orlando last month for like a week.

Dude - we are good friends now!!! Which makes me proud to say - Shiny Toy Guns are nominated for a GRAMMY this year for best Electronic Album!!!!!!

They deserve it so much - they are such good people, and they have the best live show I've seen in years...
