What RS said about Zeitgeist: Billy Corgan and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin, the only original members in this resurrection, make an art-pop roar worthy of the Pumpkins crown. Corgan piles on guitar overdubs with philharmonic zeal and Siamese Dream-era smarts on searing songs about the suffocating chaos of life and politics in America.
How does this compare with your top (5) albums of 2007?
Mine would be:
1. Nine Inch Nails - Year Zero
2. John Mayer - Continuum
3. Smashing Pumpkins - Zeitgeist
4. Foo Fighters - Echo, Silence, Patience & Grace
5. Led Zeppelin - Mothership

Believe wrote: Zeitgeist shouldnt even be on the list - but hey - Britney Spears made it too so oh well.
lol, i agree. zeitgeist should definitely be switched with no world for tomorrow.
something happened to my post???
i just said i dont understand how they can compare all the different genres. and i dont like the idea of this list at all. lol
does seem strange how they compare so many different genres together. Back when alt rock and grunge dominated, zeitgeist prob would have done better. today's music sucks, period.

Actually - Shiny Toy Guns are nominated for a Grammy this year, which is a little better than being on this list if you ask me.
