ok, well, I didn't see it here, and somebody's gotta start the thread. So what do you guys think of the new Nine Inch Nails album? I personally love it. I dig that it's really experimental in terms of the music itself and the distribution. I hope now that the pumpkins apparently aren't on a label anymore that they release their new stuff in a similar way... even though billy is just stubborn enough to not follow reznor's lead just outta spite.

I'm only on 18 Ghosts II so far, but I'm absolutely LOVING it. A fantastic new direction for Trent's music. I wish Billy WOULD follow Trent's lead in the distribution, new musical ideas, etc., but as you said...he likely won't.
P.S. While I do love the album...I must admit that I miss Trent's voice on it.

haha, I can't believe nobody's posting on this thread. lots reznor hate going around in pumpkinland I suppose. but I've listened to the whole album about 3 times over. it's really great. It's kind of like an experiment in synesthesia.

I wasn't too excited about an instrumental album, but I do love NIN. The concept is really cool and the physical package is amazing. I listened to a few tracks on youtube and it reminds me of the Fragile...which I love. I'll come back to this thread after I finish downloading it.

Trent never fails to amuse...this album just came out of nowhere, didn't it? That's one thing Billy should do - pop the next album on us, completely out of the blue. Wouldn't give the nay-sayers the time to hate it before it was even released, like they did with Zeitgeist.
This is something I intend to purchase. I can get the first 9 tracks for free, however.

i hope it finds its way on itunes soon i can only download with itunes nothing works besideds that with my computer, itunes is super quick even as i downloaded rarities and b-sides it took like 5 minuites for over 100 songs thats decent.

i'm not extremely interested in NIN, but I read on ultimate guitar that it shifted 800,000 units this quickly, so I'm going to see what all the fuss is about.
