Hehe Geek NZ i'm in ur position when it comes to concerts vs costs ...
But yeah so far this year has been *the almighty Smashing Pumpkins
*local Battle of the Bands, which sadly our band didn't get accepted into (lateness and unorganisation possibly?)
Still to come...
Foo Fighters in May
hopefully but unlikely is Splendour in the Grass fest
If Radiohead came our way i'd go without any wallet hesitation

Disorganisation is a killer for bands...
I got a job recently, vacuuming at the school my mum teaches at after school. I'm gonna save up for unexpected tours from bands I like.

So far this year I've seen...
The Foo Fighters
Serj Tankian
Les Claypool
I'm going to see...
The Cure (again)
R.E.M.
The Black Angels (AGAIN-hahaha)
BFD (Big Fucking Day-radio summer festival. Pretty fun. Although last year's bands were MUCH better. But the tickets are only ten dollars this year. So might as well).
I was going to see Iron Maiden, but we already had tickets to see The Cure on the same night. I was pretty upset about that one.

Last year's BFD consisted of...
Silversun Pickups, Social D, Queens Of The Stone Age, Bloc Party, Shiny Toy Guns, Interpool, Kaiser Chiefs, Cold War Kids, The Bravery, Tiger Army...and much more.
I'll have to look up this years, but you can go to:
www.live105.com and see for yourself.
I know Cypress Hill is there..

I would love to know who will be playing at Splendour in the Grass in Aus, they usually get most the bands from Fuji Rock Fest and those in Japan, but still not everyone does both... If i new it could change my mind from i want to go, to i'm going to try and be there

Iv never thought the cure were much of a live band, not that i dislike them, they are probably my 5th favourite band, but they dont strike me as much of a live band

In my humble opinion, they put on a pretty good show.
65 Days Of Static is opening for them. Never heard them before.

Just heard the latest single called "Discipline."
Apparently you'll be able to get the new single for free off their site soon.
