Anyone like Weezer?
I heard this song a while ago but didn't pay much attention
It sounds a lot like the good 'ol days back when they had Matt Sharp.
Much better than that Beverly Hills shit.
Great video, also.
I love Chris Crocker, so this was very satisfying.
I'm ready for the Red Album to furiously rape my ears.
But you never know, it could be dissapointing.
I heard it has some southern rap in it
(That's the worst kind of rap.)
Weezer basically shares the spot with SP. I was super psyched for Red when I heard this song for the first time. The song started, and it was like...whoa, this is like..Beck or something. But then the chorus comes in and it's like whoa...WEEZER. I don't know about Matt Sharp. I mean, I love Matt, but I don't know how much this sounds like Blue/Pink. I think it's relatively similar, but if anything, a lot of the sound and crunch reminds me of Green. Even the mood/sound of the song...Knock-down drag-out/photograph maybe?
About half of Red leaked awhile back, though I'm just waiting until the release. I'd rather hear the album in it's entirety, the way it's meant to be heard. I hear "the greatest man that ever lived" is pretty rad though.
Sam, if you like Weezer, have you been folowing 80's radio?
Through youtube, Rivers has been collaborating with all the fans on a song, completely for scratch. Every new video he asks for a new part to the song, fans all submit what they've got, he picks one, etc.
here's the first video, there are about 9 or 10 now.
Is it blasphemous to say I'm actually more stoked about Red than I was about Zeitgeist?
Cos I totally am. I've seen Weezer in concert 8 times, met all the band members (from the 2002-current lineup, that is), interviewed Scott, and still feel like a lovely little emo kid because of them. This video is, honestly, the best music video I've seen in about 5 years. SO EXCITED for the =w=
