Guilty Pleasures in Music! 1 Month, 3 Weeks ago
Something said on another thread started me thinking about this. What is your favorite guilty pleasure in music. You know the artist that you know most will laugh at you liking?

Mine is John Denver...yep. Everytime I hear Sunshine on My Shoulders, Annie's Song, Take Me Home Country Roads, Thank God I'm a Country Boy, Rocky Mountain High I get a huge smile on my face.

What about you guys? What is your guilty pleasure?

Well, I know My Chemical Romance aren't very popular on here, so you can all laugh at me because purely on a musical level I think they're very good. Green Day are also one of my favourite bands, which generally isn't a good thing to admit these days for some reason.

I don't know if there are any better examples... I like the occassional song that will get me laughed at... like SOS by Abba which was mentioned in another thread not long ago... The Final Countdown by Europe... I love Baby I Don't Care by Transvision Vamp (I Want Your Love by the same band is also good)... I have a liking for Elvis Costello's music, I don't know if that's considered a bad thing...

Maybe I'll think of some more later. Good question!

But that wasn't really the question. It's music you like that you think most people generally wouldn't.

Obviously I should have been clear in my question instead of being vague.

epitome got exactly what I was asking. It has nothing to do with being ashamed of anything.

I think you two are projecting your feelings onto the question. And in that I think maybe you are hiding something music wise deep within....

But still the question is what song or artist do you like that you feel that others won't understand or generaly wouldn't like.
