I am downloading and listening to this from the RSPAA now, and Ive noticed some interesting things.
First off the "live" version of 1979 from 1996 isnt live. This is a rough acoustic demo of the song, probably the one he mentioned on Storytellers, Billy's demos have a distinct sound to them and this is definatly a demo version. Whenever he sings a demo he sings in a really high register, not sure why he does this, but look back at Machina Acoustic Demos, or the early MCIS Demos and you will hear what Im talking about.

Also, this live version of Crying Tree of Mercury on here is amazing.

1979 is live. From 1996-02-02. Billy, solo acoustic, during an interview. You can hear the audience applaud in the end. I don't see this happening on a rough demo, do you?
His voice probably sounds a bit weird because the quality of the mp3/real audio file is so low.

And I don't really understand why you would want something uploaded here that is already available on the RSPAA.

Sure, the RSPAA is probably a bit slower and the site can act a bit annoying when you try to download a couple of files at the same time. But if you really want it, you can get it there.
