Different version- OK I need to buy this one for this song, this one for this song..
iTunes version- Gotta buy this one for good concert seats.
Some other version- Hey, if I get this one, it comes with a booklet
booklet- oh wait, now they sell the booklett for cheaper without the CD with songs I already have
single- well I already have all the songs, but might as well get a single also
Special edition- great, now in order to get a dvd, I have to buy songs I already have when I could've waited for this release instead of buying all the other ones.

are we ever going to see a studio version of gossamer? i prefer that over superchrist, but i guess we the people have no say grrrrrrrrr this make me bitter.

nothing was ever said about how it'll be released, dude. for all you know they'll just post it on the website for free download. remember machina 2? nobody said there would be another EP or another version of the album or anything. And even if it was released as another EP or another version, so what? last time I checked, being a band was their JOB! would anybody expect YOU to do YOUR job for FREE???? I don't think so. what I'm sick of is all the pissing and moaning coming from you and all the zeitgeist haters. mama always told me if I didn't have anything good to say I shouldn't say anything at all.........

when have "we the people" EVER had any say in what any band (not just SP) releases? They're the band, they write and record the stuff, therefore they get to release what they want. You'll have a say in any given song being released when you join the band and write that song.

why can't we all just sit back and appreciate the fact we're getting NEW pumpkins music? why does that not come across as an appealing concept to anybody but me?

Ghost, I'm with you. I think releasing Superchrist sounds like a great idea, plus you get some more songs to go with it. Yeah, it might cost you a few bucks, and maybe it won't. Let's see, the EP cost me 99 cents per song, and consisted of four songs. Not that steep of a price for music any one of us would've damn near killed for a few years ago. And so what if he released different versions of Zeitgeist? Do you really think he's just a greedy bastard that wants to suck every penny he can out of his fans? He's not asking you to buy every single version of the CD. If you're out buying every version separately just for the minor perks then maybe you need some help, not Billy. And they're MINOR perks. You can get concert tickets, you can find songs, and what the hell would be so special about a booklet anyway, which you can also find online. These special editions aren't something every Pumpkins fan NEEDS, so spare the sob story about how you have to pony up a full week's pay buying all the new releases.

Don't they have this brilliant AOL-Sessins recording of this song??? This seems to be the better soultion of recording it than in Billy's pathetic studio with all this pomp guitarsounds and thousand voice lines of lalalala in it (like almost every single second of Zeitgeist is overproduced this way).
I like the raw live-recording sound of the AOL-Version (reminds me of the Pumpkins golden years, somehow8) ) and I don't need another at all. Even Billy's single voice line in it has much more emotional effect on me than his one-man choirs.
Well, a download on I-Tunes as Zeitgeist Bonus Track No.#375 will be the end of this recording session and maybe a little Corgan part in the new seeds album!

I'm looking forward to the new release and I dont mind paying for it either. It would however be extra cool of the band if it was made free, to keep the whinners quite and give the rest of us some peace

Superchrist is a great song and it would be good to have a studio quality copy.
Again though were is the Gossamer recording that they said we would get not that I would want them to overwork themselves when they have release so many songs already this last year.

Urrrgh, screw Superchrist. I'm happy with the AMAZING AOL sessions recording. I can just tell he'll screw it up with annoying production. That said it could be really good.

I agree though, they should definately record Gossamer...

I would assume yes, but the website didn't say.

and on a side note, I personally think it's pretty funny that all the zeitgeist haters on here who continually slam everything billy does still know enough about the songs to talk about them...which means at the very least, they're intrigued enough by every release and every bonus track to find it and give it a listen. if billy is so evil and deceitful, why do you guys keep coming back to his music?

there is nothing wrong with the music that billy is making these days. what is there not to like about zeitgeist? there are some amazing songs on it. i will admit all the releases of it is somewhat crazy, but the music is great. and i agree with the ones who said why complain about new material? would you rather them just stop all together? new material is new material. stop bitching and just enjoy the ride.

oh, and DON, how could you think United States is boring? it's a freakin' mind fuck, it's amazing...

Am I disappointed by the current state of Billy's music? No.

But, do I want it to end? Yes.

I say this because, more than I want another Zeitgeist recording, I want an entirely new album. This cannot happen so long as the Pumpkins dwell upon their current sound. Now, don't get me wrong - I'm not rushing them, by any means. They have a tour to finish up, and I understand that it's an obligation to their fans.
