But Virgin does not own the works of the band simply known as "Smashing Pumpkins". Yes "The Smashing Pumpkins" was masquerading as them for two albums in the early 90s, but had to change their name to do the similarity of names. The real "Smashing Pumpkins" (without the "The" ) utilizes dated looking fonts, and interjects political commentary into some of their songs, something "The Smashing Pumpkins", this other band has never done!

The fact there are two members that look like, sound, and have similar names to members of this other band is a complete coincidence!

I hate Superchrist, the video sucks although live the song was alright but still ... not much to it, pretty basic and boring ... BTL on the other hand, that solo is awesome, Billy and Jeff do it surprisingly well together
