I used to be a HYOOGE fan of blink-182, but then I discovered real music.

I still like them, just not as much. I wouldn't go so far as to say that they are great personalities in music.
Used to be the same with Green Day. Except now they irritate me very much.
I will stab the next person that posts a picture of anyone from My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, or Panic! at the Disco.
If we're talking about the Blink guys during their heyday (like 1999,) then their personalities were THE WORST! Potty humor is lame. Now, I like Tom's music but he seems like an arrogant butthole.
That said, I love and miss Green Day. Maybe they'll tour as Foxboro Hot Tubs.
Don't stab me but I think Gerard Way really IS a great personality in music. He's an ace front man, as again evidenced when I saw MCR in concert last week.
... and I'm interviewing Panic at the Disco soon. Although I will agree with you on FOB. Can't stand them!

Sorry. But I hate Kanye West with a passion. Obviously I don't enjoy his music, but his arrogance and huge ego makes him absolutely lame to me. I can't stand him.
I'm not a fan of his music, either. His personality, however, is absolute gold. This thread's about great personalities in music, not necessarily nice ones.
Kudos on the Siouxsie Sioux mention. I thought she kind of went without saying.
While I'm in the goth rock mood...

Andi Sexgang, dawgs. One of the most amusing vocalists in rock.

Haha, some of these band pictures are funny.
The obligatory funny-face ones...
Enema of the State is actually my least favourite album of blink's. Their Untitled album is the way to go, fuck what anyone says about becoming "mature". If maturity means a killer rock album, then I like it..
I read an article about P!atD in a local magazine (just because I hate them so much, I wanted to find out some stuff I could hate them about) called RipItUp, and I found out their next (or latest, I don't know if it's out yet) album is supposedly more influenced by older pop bands, The Beatles and The Beach Boys were mentioned a lot.
The next bit I could not believe. One of them (who cares who it was) said that they'd never even heard of anything by The Beatles or The Beach Boys before, and that he listened to Sgt. Pepper's for the first time before they started recording the album and was blown away etc...
Now what kind of musician worth his glorified face hasn't even HEARD of The Beatles???
What God-forsaken direction is pop music going when the people who make it haven't even heard of the almighty Gods who CREATED pop music???

ill have to give that a listen, on my penis! lol ?
that sounds very elitist of you, those guys are pretty famous and well off, did they ever claim to be influenced by the beatles? maybe you can listen to their new album and hear a bands take on reprising classic pop bands styles?

I'm only being elitist because they actually deserve to be elitist. Panic at the Shitsco don't.

Haha you gotta love funny faces ... Woo seeing Foo's in May, can't wait hehe any Foo's fan would be jealous of me, i have a setlist from a 'secret' gig written by Mr Grohl himself (including heaps of scribbled corrections lol)
I like Panic at the Shitsco ... only for your pun though, i hate their music
Ohh yeah i'll give you lot another personality: J Mascis of Dinosaur Jr if he hasn't already been mentioned

PersianBellyDancer, cheers to Garbage! They're a very nice group of people! Met 'em at a signing in 2001. I told Shirley she was one of my rock goddess idols, and she asks if I was in a band.
"Yeah."
"What's the name?"
"Death by Twinkie (my old Smashing Pumpkins cover band, which I later told Billy about when I interviewed him. He thought it was clever, hehe.)"
"(laughs) You're my kind of girl!"

no offense to bassists, i just say things in super short. he isn't that outstanding on bass and his vocals are not worth anything more than getting the lyrics across.
tony iommi is a great personality in music, his guitar style has become its own living thing, imo. he kicks ozzy's ugly vocals ass.
and dimebag darrel's style is its own thing too, like wow
