so this year is off to a great start as far as music and shows go!!! YAY 2008.

So far the pumpkins in Nottingham on Feb 14th (valentines day) and im leaving the misus at home and going with my mate.....LOL
Also going to Bon Jovi in June. But thats her choice has I always promised I would take her one day.

At the moment I'm only seeing Interpol, which is next month. I hope to see the Pumpkins this year, but it may not happen if they don't do a full tour of Australia  |

Roger Waters is doing a very small Dark Side of the Moon tour. Tickets are expensive, but I suggest anyone in the area go.
April 27 - Coachella Festival
April 30 - Denver, CO
May 2 - Dallas, TX
May 4 - Houston, TX
May 11 - Landgraff, Holland
May 13 - Odense, Denmark
...a few hours from Dallas, and sadly I can't go. |

I've only been to one show this year, and here's the small write-up I did for another forum-
02/02/08, @ The Masquerade in Atlanta, GA.
White Chapel, Emmure, Cephalic Carnage, & Darkest Hour.
-Missed White Chapel, but very much like their Louis Vuitton merch.
-Emmure sounded pretty good, from what I heard. There was a lot of crowd support for them, and they didn't disappoint their fans.
-Cephalic Carnage fucking rocked. Great set, awesome pit (I haven't seen someone get knocked the fuck out in a pit for a long time, until last night), fantastic guys to hang out and smoke with.
-Missed the first half of Darkest Hour, being backstage with Cephalic Carnage, but you could hear them even then and they were on last night. We went back out for the second half of their set and speed and precesion were abundant and very obvious. I was beyond impressed seeing them live.
-Obligatory drunk guy ref: "I only drink margaritas if they're DARK AND FUCKING SOUR!"
Grade: A
It would be A+ if I didn't down 4 cans of PBR.
That show aside, I don't know when my next will be. I have medical problems now, which really suck, by the way. |
