everlasting gaze was left off because it's not that good. it's rehash and pretending. just because it's loud does not = good.

It's stilted because there's hardly a sense of flow of feel and mood, it's like you put Machina I and II on shuffle and picked the first few songs.

Cash Car Star and Glass' Theme --> With Every Light --> The Imploding Voice?

Home --> R+S??

Those songs could at least do with re-ordering. You gotta have songs that build up at the start, songs that keep it going in the middle, and songs that bring it all back down at the end.

I find that the first and second song are vital choices. I chose Lucky 13 and SIYL for 1st and 2nd. L13 is like a wake up call, it's a great first song and album starter reminiscent of I Am One. CCS was a good choice too, But I would suggest to put Glass before it, as it is perfect for an introductory track.

The second song I find has to be a good follow up, as if you listen to the album for the first time, get stunned by the first track, and then get that feeling confirmed with the second track.

Siva is great, Quiet is great, Frail is BRILLIANT (particularly because that album starts with a lull), Jellybelly is great, Bodies is great, Ava Adore is in the same boat as Frail, however in my opinion R+S is just a flop after The Everlasting Gaze.

SIYL is one of those tracks that is floaty from the start, but you can tell that there will definitely be a build up or a climax of some sort, so it's GREAT for a second track.

Well you know what: The beauty of this forum is that we are all allowed to have our own opinions. Unfortuneatly for you, my opinion doesn't match yours. So thanks but no thanks I guess, I like my tracklisting.

Machina II never gets any love

If you're going to make an "ultimate" Machina album you probably should include songs from the FAEOMM 60m Tape, demos, bsides, etc.

In the spirit of Machina II, I broke up the album into 3EP and a full length album. I think it turned out really well.

The Everlasting Gaze
In My Body
Slow Dawn
Heavy Metal Machine

Glass and the Ghost Children
Blue Skies Bring Tears (FAEOMM)
The Crying Tree of Mercury (Piano)
If There is a God (Sad-Remix)

Glass’ Theme (Glass and the Machines of God Remix)
White Spyder
Here’s to the Atom Bomb (Machina II)

Lucky 13
Dross
Soul Power
The Sacred and Profane
Stand Inside Your Love
Let Me Give the World to You
Go
Home
Innosence
This Time
Try (Alt)
Cash Car Star
Saturnine
Wound
With Every Light
Age of Innocence
Speed Kills (Machina II)

i also agree we should have some of the demos and b-sides. they need some love. the original blue skies bring tears (arising!) is still one of my fav songs from the whole machina era. and is your "if there is a god (sad remix)" the track with the sound of rain in the background? if so that is one of my personal fav remixes.
