Bought a Line 6 Pocket Pod yesterday, anyone every use one?
I really wanted a Boss RE-20 Space Echo, but couldn't justify the money.

Question.

I bought some cheap cables about a year ago from a local guitar store and now I'm getting tons of static/feedback. I've looked past it for several months now, but it's starting to get really annoying. I'm looking to buy some better cables, but is there a correlation between price and sound quality? If I spend more, will I still have the feedback? What do you guys use?

there is a certain relation between price and sound quality, some more expensive ones are shielded to avoid static, but check out your guitar too for electrical problems

So, I spent $39.99 on some Monster cables for my guitar and it completely eliminated all the buzz/feedback. It even sounds clearer and louder. Totally worth it.

Oh yeah...the Line 6 Pocket POD sucks ass. I'm done with multi effect devices.

I didn't know monster cables made that big of a difference, hmm.

Pete, the Pod XT Live is supposed to be really good... I haven't tried the pocket pod, but i wouldn't imagine it'd be anything outstanding. I wouldn't use my multiFX live, it's just for recording demos and figuring out what other effects I want.

Phaser suggestions??

I was looking at the Boss PH-3, but I read some unsettling reviews.

Any knowledge of Boss vs. MXR vs. Electro-harmonix?

Boss phasers are very digital and artificial sounding because they're 12-stage phasers (unless you get the PH-3 which you can switch what stage to use, haven't tried it though.) The MXR Phase 90 is a great simple 4-stage phaser that'll give a more vintage style phase. Also if you're looking tog et a Small stone by EHX, I'd get the Nano small stone., I heard it doesn't cut the volume like the bigger one does.

hope I helped a little.

Ok, I’m completely obsessed with ebay now. I’ve been looking constantly for various pedals the last few days and today…I jumped off the deep end.

In the last few hours I bought:
Boss CH-1 Super Chorus
Boss TR-2 Tremolo
Boss DD-6 Digital Delay (what I really wanted)
Fender DG/10 12-string acoustic (impulse buy at the last second)
…and I’m still looking!

I think I got some good deals though. Altogether I spent slightly over $300.

I’m selling my Line 6 Pocket Pod if anyone is interested.

yeah, the low end boss sounds pretty digital

has some interesting settings for a low price though

does anybody have a micro synth?

I've heard things from all sides. I've seen one in person, but I dont remember much. Some praise it, some hate it. I'd love to have one eventually.

I got a bunch of cheap Danelectro Fab pedals the other day.
There really cool, only 15 dollars. I got 4 for 40 though, and then I got two extras. I liked 3 of them and
Anyway, here's a little review:

Didn't like-

Chorus- The worst pedal I've ever used, I can't even tell a difference when it's on. But I looked at guitarcenter.com and supposidly some people like it. So maybe mine doesnt work, or maybe I might have to play around with my amp settings some more.

Echo- It's alright. There's practicly no variations of echo types you can do. More of a blues type of pedal.

Distortion- Not a very crisp tone

liked

flanger- It had a pretty good sound. probably not as good as other flager pedals but it's good for a cheap one. Mine broke somehow though and I got it on the internet so it would've been a pain to send back. I might buy another one later or just forget about it.

Overdrive- Has a nice crisp sound, and it's easily adjustable.

Metal- This is my favorite one out of all of them! It has an awesome heavy distortion tone. and picks up both the low and high ends of the guitar. There's not much of an option of the different sounds you can get out of it but it sure sounds nice.
