I find if you are sick of a song, just don't listen to it for a couple of months, and then you will be able to reconnect with again later. That happened with me and "1979" for example.

Yes doomsdayclock
I have a hard time getting sick of the classics, it's like even though I've heard em a zillion times, they bring out the creative juices for me and I like that feeling. So it's hard to get sick of hearing it.

The classics do get repetitive, and it annoys me to no end when I bring up the Pumpkins and someone says, "Oh, the Rat In The Cage song? I love them!!"
I'm sick of 1979, Today, BWBW, Cherub Rock. The other ones don't tend to bother me so much. Disarm and Tonight, Tonight are definitely overplayed, but those really hit home for me, so I can never be mad at them. Those are the songs that got me into SP back in the day (along with 1979...). Zero is awesome as well, but of course that wasn't that big of a single, either.
Single or not, I still think Tonight, Tonight is one of their best songs.

Cherub Rock is one of the songs that made me instantly love the Pumpkins, because it was the first song from SD, the first album I heard.

Hummer is kinda getting on my nerves only because there is a car commercial that has that song or some of it on there, but it's not I looked it up one day. It sounds like a part in Hummer

I love Mayonaise, but could never get into Soma. I love Hummer, Mayonaise, Geek USA and Silverfuck (pretty much all of SD, lol), but never liked Soma that much. It sounds like a good song, I can see why other people like it, but it just isn't my thing. Gotta love the overdubs, though.

I used to dislike Soma a bit, mainly because it was so damn QUIET and I couldn't even hear it even turned up to full. But now it's one of my favourites.

Personal tastes, I guess. I'm just not into it. Can't help it.
Like, it's soft and soothing and everything, and I'll try to listen to it. Then I find myself ignoring it completely and I'm like, "Oops."

I think the appeal of Hummer has become primarily sentimental for SP fans cos it was one of the first batch of classic songs they performed on their first tour back from the dead.
I totally cried hearing it at the Toronto show! I think it was the realization that my favorite band was back and they were recreating (excellently, I might add) a song from the album that saved my life.
