i couldnt organize my other favorite bands into rankings
its pretty much smashing pumpkins as my first favorite and then a bunch of other bands tied in second place

oh well... here they are

Radiohead, Dream Theater, Pink Floyd, Alice in Chains, Eisley

the cure, AC/DC, led zep, sabbath, floyd, soda stereo, Café Tacvba, San Pascualito Rey

Yeah, I don't have second third and so on, Radiohead and Led Zep are pretty much tied second place.

tie for second, led zep and the beatles. i don't really have any other favorite bands that i can't live without.

The Libertines and Bob Dylan are defiantly my next favorite bands/musicians

OK, for me:

on place 1 are The Pumpkins (from 1987-2000)

and on rank 2 there are Porcupine Tree and Sonic Youth.

Such amazing bands, I couldn't live without the music of all three of them...but original Pumpkins are one tiny lil' bit better
So I have Independent and allaround rock on my very first place (the pumpkins) followed by progressive/art rock (porcupine tree) and experimental/noise/art rock (sonic youth).

I do. Wouldn't put them as my 2nd or 3rd favourite, but probably in my top 20. I like quite a few bands that most Pumpkinheads don't seem to like (Green Day, My Chemical Romance, Nrivana, maybe others)... but I like the music so I don't care :P
