i dont see how he looks like billy, maybe if he shaved his head then i would see some resemblance. its really annoying how that gerard guys keeps changing his hairstyle like billy did- and lots of other rockstars do.

i dont watch videos, i was just watching weird al's video and that came on after, 99% of videos music stations play, i dont like...

I know most of you people don't like MCR, but they're one of my favorite new decade bands. I just bought their "Black Parade" and I'm really enjoying it... I can understand and I don't mind you're mostly against emo. Not that I'm emo!!! lolz Pardon me if I'm wrong, but I haven't heard anyone that really sounds like them. I'm probably just ignorant though...

i dont not like any band, whatever floats your boat... and thats not just a cop out...

i listened to that one song, that video i just watched, i was like "cool, a marching song (i guess theyre not THAT pop)", then they went into the real the song, i was like "bastards..." then changed the channel, they still arent willing to be different too much, not very cool, but whatever floats your boat eh? hahaha

the lead singer from evermore looks more like billy when he had hair..i think theyre an australian band...they have the same shape face.

MCR is not too bad. I like some of their songs and think they make really good music videos. The singer has personality and passion and a decent rock voice. The reason I don't like them more is because they aren't that interesting musically to me. They play fast and loud to be sure but that's a lot of bands around today. I don't think they are SP rip offs. I just don't see the comparison at all. But people not liking them for not being original. Originality is pretty much dead in the ground this late into the rock and roll game. As much as I love SP it wasn't for their originality. They borrowed plenty from previous bands just like most artists. I think so much has been said and done in rock and roll that the question is not 'Who did it first' the question should be 'Who doing it the best'.

For me, SP outshines every single one of the bands they borrowed from and that's why they are my favorite.

I'm not looking for my bands to reinvent the wheel, all I want is honest creative music that aimed at my heart, not my wallet.

I know you guys like to beat on MCR. Don't get me wrong they are NOT one of my fav bands, but if you compare them to (The following has been censored to remove retarted material) Fall Out B*y, P*nic at the Disco, and the likes, then really MCR aren't that bad. Some of their stuff strikes me as almost original. In the 21st century, it's hard to be a "good" band. It looks like rock music died with the Pumpkins.

they really aren't too bad. Not one of my favorite bands though. And actually, they seem more like they could be classified as more of a punk rock kind of thing. I mean fast and loud, lots of palm muting and sleek drumming. What i don't like is they seem to have the attitude that music isn't the art and that they need huge theatrics and extra things on stage (videos, dancers, etc.) in order for it to truly become art. Let it be about the music.

Yeah, they overdo the image a bit.

I just want to ask you if you were serious with that comment?
what would you call thieir music videos..those arent flashy or overdone at all. I mean all they are is some lame image. They arent unique at all.
