So does anyone here like macdonalds? if not why not and if so why?
I personally think its sick and have heard so many sick stories about their fries being turnips and there being some sort of chicken by products in their mcflurrys. oh and the small town I grew up in had about 3 fishplants and one of the processed cat fish that they sold to macdonalds...probably for that lovely filet of fish. anyways what are your thoughts?

MacDonalds is gross. When I was coming home from California once, MacDonalds was the only place to get food for miles, so I decided to stop. I got a snack wrap to hold me over, and I got basically a shrivelled, crunchy piece of "chicken" and a hell of a lot of mayonaise

I'm not a huge fan of fast food places in general (although I do go to them now and then). I particularly find McDonalds to be disgusting. There are much worse horror stories than the ones you've said. I particularly remember the infamous chicken head (yes, beak 'n' all) in the McNugget and the rear end of a mouse in a burger. I find their burgers and fries tasty, though not at all filling
anyway there are stories from all sorts of places that would make you not want to eat there, so dont think mcdonalds is the only fastfood place that has its problems lol

Yeah, if we saw the kitchens of a lot of places, we probably wouldn't want to eat there.
I do think McDonalds would be one of the worst for hygiene though - probably has a lot to do with them being such a big company that they don't need to care so much.

I don't think about the extremely gross and weird cases, because, as you said, those can happen anywhere. I judge a fast food place by the quality of the food you get there on a regular basis. Taco Bell's okay, and so is Burgerville, a chain up here in the northwest that focuses on fresh and organic foods

I haven't inspected enough kitchens to be sure really. I was basing it more on restaurants being like any other company - where generally the bigger, richer ones provide worse customer service.
If you're right then I don't what McDonalds excuse would be then.

i dont like macdanalds, hehe, i dont hate it, but if i was getting back into town from a trip at 3 am, id go to sleep starving, this one time i got mcnuggets, and the stunk like eggs, that was gross, but i have to say their sausage mcmuffins are the only thing i like, but i still dont go there, too busy and bloaty

Well I don't eat a lot of fast food because I'm a vegetarian and my choices at a place like McDonald's are fairly limitted. Although I do like their fruit and yogurt parfaits.

hmm. im going to be the odd one out (other than Rivers Cuomo) and say i actually dont mind it. i havent been there in about 3 months but i like their salads and breakfast. ive seen supersize me and read the book but it hasnt really turned me off.  |
